Psittacus High Energy Pap

The Psittacus High Energy Pap is a specially formulated continuation feed designed for hand-rearing avian species that require a high-fat diet, such as yacons, macaws, eclectus, and poicephalus, immediately after the feather shaft emerges. It is rich in the most suitable vegetable fat tailored for these bird species, specifically palm oil. Additionally, it contains papaya, which promotes digestive health.

This product is recommended for use until the point of weaning. Typically, parrots consume between 7 to 10 ml of this pap per 100 g of body weight. It is crucial to ensure that the chick's crop is entirely empty one hour before each feeding.

For optimal feeding, we suggest administering the pap with a syringe featuring a soft rubber or silicone probe. This method is preferred in our breeding center due to its safety and hygiene. Furthermore, we encourage the stimulation of the animal by gently pressing the sides of their beak to encourage swallowing movements before introducing the probe.
